In any case, here are the instructions to learn how to put it on and sterilize it.
BEFORE
If it's your first time, BE GOODHOLE AND PATIENCE. The first few times are always a little difficult, you will probably have to practice until you get it right. We recommend an average of three periods to familiarize yourself with the cup, then you won't change it for anything!
Add about 3 fingers of water in the Sterilizing Cup and put your cup inside, take it to the microwave for 3 minutes, do not exceed the time, you could damage your cup. If you don't have a Sterilizing Cup, you can use a pot of water and put it on the stove and follow the same procedure.
Wash your hands thoroughly with mild soap.
Choose your best way to fold the cup, in the shape of a "C" or a "flower", you can see in the images how to do it.
Once bent, find your best position: it can be squatting, sitting or standing. The first few times you can even do it in the shower.
Relax and insert the folded cup into the vagina towards the buttock (remember that the vagina is not perpendicular to your body, it is tilted backwards), you will see that thanks to its special material it slides very easily. Let it go when you have it completely inside the vagina and TAKE IT! . It is also essential to check that the cup is correctly positioned.
If you notice it bent, it is not well positioned. If necessary, use a little lubricant or water, hold the cup by the base and turn it gently so that it opens and is well sealed. You can check that it is well placed in two ways: take the handle with your fingers and pull slowly, if it is well placed you will feel a little resistance, you can also touch the bottom of the cup, passing your fingers gently to certify that there are no dents or bends.
DURING
YOU'RE WEARING IT, DON'T FORGET.
You will be able to use your PapayaCup for up to 12 hours, both day and night. But you should always be aware of your flow. If your menstruation is heavy, you will have to empty your cup more often. Frequent use of the cup allows you to measure the level of bleeding and assess the color.
If you are just starting to use the cup and are afraid of staining, you can use a pad for the first few times until you are familiar with it.
If the cup is well positioned, after a few minutes, you should not be able to feel it. I assure you that you'll forget you're wearing it!
And then what?
Wash your hands thoroughly with mild soap.
Choose your best posture, in that case it is better to squat or with the foot resting on a stool or similar.
Find the stem of the cup, pull it slightly and insert your fingers to break the vacuum of the cup. Slowly pull it out. If you pull it too hard you may have to clean the toilet for a while.....
Once outside, empty and wash the cup with plenty of water, including the holes, and put it back in. Ideally, when you are away from home, you should have a bottle of water or a sterilizer handy to rinse the cup, but if this is not possible, you can use wipes, tissues or toilet paper.
At the end of your period, wash it again with mild soap and warm water. Dry it well and put it back in the original PapayaCup pouch.
IMPORTANT
The cup should not be used for more than 12 consecutive hours without emptying it. Blood accumulated for more than 12 hours creates an ideal environment for bacterial growth, and this can result in a serious infection such as Toxic Shock.
